Recently I’ve been asking people what they would like to see more of from me and a topic that keeps cropping up time and again is how to put together a great Capsule Wardrobe.
I’ve often read Capsule Wardrobe Guides and found them to be too rigid or too prescriptive, allowing little room for an individual’s personality to shine through whilst at the same time not accommodating their lifestyle. I mean, not everyone needs a black pencil skirt, a trench coat, a grey cashmere sweater and a pair of black court shoes do they? What if you’re a stay at home Mum? Or what if you work from home and like to feel super comfortable all the time?
So, I’ve created a resource to give you some ideas as to how to create a Capsule Wardrobe that really works for you, your personality and your lifestyle. It also gives you ideas on how to make the pieces within it as versatile as they can be, along with tips on how to add to it.
These are the questions that I address in the Guide…
- Is a Capsule Wardrobe even a “thing” and does it really exist?
- Will I soon tire of a it?
- How do I identify what to include in it?
- How do I make it work together to maximise its potential?
I talk through the questions you need to ask yourself in deciding what deserves a hard earned place in your wardrobe, as well as giving you working examples from my own wardrobe as to what works for me. Just tweak it to find what works for you.
