My favourite Hush Autumn/Winter picks

Hush has been a favourite brand of mine for many years now, ever since my friend introduced me to their PJ’s way back in 2008. I remember standing in her kitchen when a parcel from them arrived (accompanied by a Tea Bag!) That was when the bread and butter of their brand was nightwear and loungewear – but oh how times have changed. Over the years they have expanded their range to include pretty much everything that a girl could want.

I am currently working with Hush and they kindly gift new pieces to me every few weeks.  So, I thought that I’d talk you through my favourite Hush Autumn/Winter picks from the current collection. I know that I like to see clothes on people other than models, so hopefully these images might offer some help to you too.

Colour block coat from Hush (£189)

Being a chilly billy, an oversized coat is always a great option for me as it means that I can layer other coats or jackets underneath it. Plus the combination of black, camel and grey means that I can wear this coat with just about anything that I own. It’s also a great length for shorter skirts, or trousers. Although I must admit I’m liking the whole “longer skirt peeping out from under a shorter coat” look right now – which has always been such a fashion “no no”.

Leather jackets are always great as layering pieces under oversized coats, as well as blazers, denim jackets and chunky hoodies with the hood peeping out at the back. Hari and the Gang have some of my favourite hoodies. It’s a small, independent brand and so worth a look for warm and snuggly hoodies.

I worked with a local photographer, Emma Lathwood on this shoot and she’s brilliant. So if you live in or near Birmingham, or if you’re looking for a photographer to shoot your wedding, family portraits or outfit shots – she’s your girl!

Hush winter navy leopard jumper

Leopard star jumper in navy HUSH (£99)

I’m never far from my knitwear when the cooler months arrive and with navy, stars and leopard being particular favourites of mine – well, this jumper just had to feature in my choices!

Leopard star jumper in red Hush (£99)

And with red being such a bright and cheery colour for the winter – and with it working so well with camel and leopard as well as the darker, neutral colours – I knew that this would be really hard working for me in my A/W wardrobe.

Cropped checked trousers from Hush   (£75) and Hooded dolman sloppy Joe Hush (£49)

The whole “high/low” dressing is a look that that isn’t going anywhere fast. It appeals to me so much as there’s definitely a part of me that likes feeling “put together” in term so heels (distance permitting), tailoring, sequins and so on – but equally there’s a part of me that craves casual, comfortable pieces. So the trend for mixing them together is an absolute winner in my book.

“Yes sir” t-shirt Hush (£35)

The checked trousers are not only a little different but they are also comfortable and they feel really well made. Whilst at £75 they’re not cheap, neither are they ridiculously expensive – but they certainly feel it. And don’t get me started on the t-shirt. Once I read the slogan, that’s me done for the day – humming away I am!

“Peek a boo” top Hush  (£35)

And finally the “Peek a boo” top. So the deal with this top is that it’s pretty low but here’s the thing. If, like me, you have to wear a vest top in the winter, then this is a lovely one to own. Less boring and practical and more cheeky and fun. Additionally, under a V-neck or boat neck jumper, the lace peeps through in a really lovely way.

So that’s my round up of my Hush picks but there are so many more pieces besides. Do pop over to the HUSH site to see if there’s anything that takes your fancy!

I hope that you’re having an amazing week and I’ll be back soon. xx
