Frezy Derm Velvet Sunscreen – the hunt is over!

I’ve been desperate to put together a quick post about Frezy Derm Velvet Sunscreen (£18.96) all day. Events have conspired against me and with a trip to Wimbledon planned tomorrow, I really should be getting things organised, BUT I really wanted to share this with you all.

I was invited to try a Frezy Derm product last year – which I did and which I loved. At the time, someone left a comment on the blog stating how much she loved the velvet technology face sunscreen.  I must have filed the info away at the back of my mind because when I came across a sample earlier in the week, I remembered her comment and tried it. And oh my goodness it was amazing.

For a while now I’ve been thinking about using a sunscreen (yep, I’m probably about 20 years too late to that particular party but hey, better late than never!) My foundation has an SPF 25 in it but I don’t use very much of it and other sunscreens that I’ve used either have a strong smell (hello migraine!) are greasy, white or tacky. So until now I haven’t found one that I like.

But my search is over and I am now the proud owner of a full sized bottle. This sunscreen is a clear, odourless gel which glides on, leaving a matt finish. There’s no tackiness, no shine, no white marks or anything that you might usually associate with a sunscreen. On Amazon the product has had 88 reviews and has a 4.5 star rating.

So anyway, if like me you’re on the hunt – and if you’ve finally decided that now is the time to take action, honestly, give this one a whirl and see what you think. I’d love to know how you get on and if anyone reading this already uses it, how have you found it?

Hope that you all have a super week and that the sun continues to shine. xx

Hi Beth. Looks like a nice product, although I noticed that someone thought it was not suitable for sensitive skin. Last year, I discovered Ultra Sun Face, with a tint. This too is a lovely product and the tint gives a lovely glow (I often now just use this product during the day, when popping out and about, instead of foundation and full make-up. Looks great with a little mascara and lip gloss! Nina x

Hi Nina, lovely to hear from you! I’ve come across ultra sun too via QVC – there was a show on before mine on Tuesday. I know it’s really popular but I haven’t tried it yet so it’s definitely another good one to look out for. In fact I might try that too! I really probably should have started years ago – but better late than never!
