There have been a lot of “oooohs” and “aaaahs” in this neck of the woods today, I can tell you. “What a lovely colour,” “Is it both a clutch and a handbag?” “I bet you could fit an ipad in that” (you can – I checked).
The bag responsible for the “ooohs” and the “aaaahs” is the Electric blue Fenix bag from Kausar (£144) and I must say, all of the compliments are well deserved. The shape is fantastic and the colour stunning – in fact the colour is so great that the rest of your outfit could be totally pants and you could still get away with looking as though you had made an effort/it was intentional.
With the emphasis being on quality rather than quantity, Kausar makes a limited number of each style of bag and they are all designed in house. Because of that, the dimensions and colour can be varied upon request – which is handy for a handbag!
When I went out last night, I used the bag clutch style. Oversized clutches are great to use and, strategically placed, they can hide a multitude of sins too. The leather is beautifully soft and the bags are light.
Today I used the bag casually, cross body style. Up until now I haven’t had a bag in this colour but I can see how versatile it will be. In this outfit it picks up the blue in this Whistles scarf but it will also work with darker winter coats – grey, navy, black, tan – take your pick.
This is another style of bag which I also really like – the Tiffany (£202.30). All of the bags have velvet inner linings and leather trim throughout, which makes them feel really special. Additionally, 10% of revenue from the bags is donated to a children’s orphanage.
Kausar is looking to be stocked in stores and boutiques so if you are running a boutique and are interested in stocking these beautiful bags, please contact info@kausaronline.com
Now, Kausar have kindly said that I can keep this fantastic bag. However, I feel that it would be unfair to keep it just for me so, as with all things that are gifted to me, if anyone would like to borrow it – whether to blog about it or to use it for an event or just because they fancy trying it out – please let me know and I will send it over to you.
Such a lovely bag and you've styled it beautifully.
Hi Helen – ah, thank you! It is a little bit lovely isn't it?!
Beth, I am just recovering from 2 weeks in bed with a vicious virus and your blog has kept me going. I am reading back and I love it! The glimpse into family life (I am 45 with a 13 year old daughter, part time working mum too), the fashion and style and the slight air of chaos – juggling all those balls is a real feat! You are now my favourite blog and are even enticing me to introduce a bit of colour into my very neutral wardrobe! Thank you so much! Hayley
Hi Hayley – It sounds as though you have been so poorly – hope that you are well on the way to feeling better now. Perhaps a little wander around the shops would be a good way of getting back on your feet and buying something colourful will definitely lift your spirits! I'm so pleased that you enjoy the blog. Your comment made my weekend so thanks for that. Beth
Just looked at their website, are the bags a s lovely as the photos show them to be, they look gorgeous.
Hi Sue – lovely to hear from you! Certainly the bag that I have is really beautiful and even better in the flesh, I think. As the bags are all designed by Kausar and made in only small quantities, I think that the emphasis is very much on quality so I am sure that you wouldn't be disappointed with one.
Love love love that bag!!Great styleBrilliant handbag website, all lovely, thank you for guiding me to it!!
Hi Siobhan – great to hear that you like the bag and the site. I feel that it's a bit of a find!
Hi Beth, ive been following your blog for a few months and think its great but this bag has made me write to you, as I am a fellow blue bag owner! My husband bought me a rather beautiful Baccini Coco bag in blue and I love it, brightens up a winter wardrobe and will keep me going through spring as well. Big up the blue bags!!!
Thank you for getting in touch. How lovely that you get pleasure from your blue bag – what a great hubby too. I also love my Orla Kiely one (shown at the top of the blog on the Easy Living shot). There's just something about blue bags that makes them "smiley" bags isn't there? Hope that you keep on enjoying the blog. Thanks!
Love the colour! And as you know I love my handbags. I'm also looking for a clutch that is large enough for everyday use. It would be great to have a closer look at the bag sometime. I also like the other one shown. I'm off to have a look at the website.
Sounds like a great excuse to meet up so that you can inspect it more closely!!!!
