Today I am pointing you in the direction of the article that I have written this week for Easy Living online
Since having become involved with Easy Living, I have discovered what a great place Easy Living online is to visit for articles on Beauty, Fashion, Homes, Recipes and Culture. With their regular “We like her Style” feature, “Top 30 coats”, “A-list hair” and “20 minute recipes” it’s a nice place to escape to for the odd ten minutes here and there during a busy day. Anyway, I thought that I would share that with you just in case you haven’t dropped by before now for a browse.
This week I have written about the six knits every woman needs together with how to wear them and style tips for each one.
If you are looking to work some knitwear in to your wardrobe this season, I hope that it provides some inspiration and ideas on what might work for you. Enjoy!
Great article and I too had a cashmere cardi that I used to wear when my daughter was born. Gorgeously soft and washed beautifully. Still going strong 11 years later
Hello and thank you! Now that's what you call a great investment!Beth
Another good read Beth – nice to see a bit of colourful Boden in there!Maybe I'm out of the fashion loop, but what on earth does 'Totes Amaze' mean?? I don't get it… (or it that the point?).
"Totes Amaze" is short for "Totally Amazing" – not really a fashion thing, more modern day colloquial – I don't get most of them either!
Goodness, I AM out of the loop!!!I was thinking of tote bags… 😉
Beth – I left a comment at the bottom of your article on the Easy Living page, but it has disappeared (!)…The links on your article are generic ones (i.e. simply to the home page of the brand, not to the item of clothing mentioned). This is silly in every case, but particularly pointless with the link to "these amazing two-tone shoes from Hobbs" as the reader has no way of knowing WHICH shoes they are!Sorry to be in editor mode (it’s one of the hats I wear in real life!), but this is really sloppy and detracts from your article. All the best, Thea
Hi Thea – thanks for that; noted. I had just realised that myself and will make sure that direct links are included in the next article. Out of interest, what do you edit? Beth
An obscure academic journal and equally obscure newsletter!
Hi Thea, I'm so sorry to hear your comment was deleted! I reported the fault to our technical team so I hope it won't happen again. In terms of generic links, we always link to them in our shopping galleries as items can sell out or companies change the dates they hit stores. From previous experience, it works best for us to keep them generic or we get lots of queries about dead links, etc. However, for Beth's articles it absolutely makes sense to keep them direct. We've now amended this (as well as included an image of those fabulous Hobbs shoes!) and will make sure we link directly in future. Thanks for your feedback (especially as an editor!) – it's really appreciated. Many thanks,Alaina (senior editor – easyliving.co.uk)
Hi Alaina, Once again, I'm impressed that you're following these comments :-)I can see you point about dead links etc., but very happy to see some direct links on Beth's article – and especially to the shoes!
Sigh! They're gorgeous shoes! 🙂
Brilliant article…now feel inspired to pop along to Gap with the 30% off voucher in this week's Grazia!
Hi Sharon – hope that you made some lovely purchases in there!
